ItineraryDay 1: Arrive AdelaideMake your own way to your hotel. The afternoon is free for you to explore.Hotel: Chifley on South Terrace (Standard), Stamford Plaza Adelaide (Superior) or The Terrace Hotel (Standard), Adelaide, 2 nights    Day 2: Adelaide – The Barossa – AdelaideTravel through the city of Adelaide northwards to the world-renowned Barossa wine region. Enjoy the change of scenery as you make your way into the vineyards of South Australia’s premium wine region.Your first stop is Pindarie, a multi-tourism award winning cellar door, which feels more like an Australian Homestead than a cellar door. The friendly staff share their stories behind the wines as you sample their famous blends in the heritage stables. Sit back and admire their stunning vineyard views while you enjoy some morning tea.The next stop is a visit to Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop, an absolute must whilst visiting the Barossa. Learn about Maggie Beer - the cook, writer and founder of 'Maggie Beer Products', and enjoy tastings of her full product range including limited edition seasonal produce. You can also browse amongst her personally selected regional specialty goods, purchase one of her signed books or simply sit back and take in the view.On arrival at Lambert Estate at Angaston, you will enjoy a structured wine tasting whilst sampling local seasonal produce from gourmet platters. Main course follows, and is a feast for the senses, with two signature dishes, salad and vegetables. You may wish to purchase a glass of wine from the impressive wine selection, or enjoy a coffee accompanied with their popular Chocolatier (Chocolate Port).Leaving Lambert Estate, travel to Mengler Hill Lookout for sweeping views over the valley and then onto the Barossa Valley Chocolate Company your final stop for the day. Here you will taste house made chocolates paired with Vineyard Road’s handcrafted wines which will be a great way to finish off your Barossa Food & Wine Experience. Day 3: Adelaide – Kangaroo IslandAn early morning pick-up from your hotel for a scenic coach transfer to Cape Jervis taking in the picturesque Fleurieu Peninsula with its vineyards, coastal views and rolling hills. On arrival, board the SeaLink ferry for the 45-minute crossing to Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island. Here you will board your luxury SeaLink coach, and your local driver/guide will take you on a tour of South Australia’s premier nature-based tourism destination.Visit Seal Bay Conservation Park where you will be taken on a guided beach walk with an experienced guide and be amongst a colony of rare Australian sea lions. Get up close and see these wild creatures frolic and laze about – a truly amazing and unforgettable experience.Then enjoy a delicious two course lunch at a local restaurant, located on the south coast of Kangaroo Island.Spend the afternoon in the Flinders Chase National Park, which was devastated in the worst fire to ever hit the island in January 2020. You’ll see that the regeneration of the native bush occurs so quickly after the event and there will be many opportunities to take photos. As you travel through the park, keep an eye out for echidnas, wallabies, reptiles, and koalas. See the rugged coastline from walks around Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch. Remarkable Rocks provide great photographic opportunities, and the Admirals Arch boardwalk takes you down a rugged cliff face to reveal the spectacular rock archway, a natural nursery and haven for playful Long-nosed Fur Seals.Your last visit of the day is to the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park to feed some kangaroos and get up close to the Kangaroo Island Koalas while listening to the Keeper talk about the cuddly mammals.Hotel: Aurora Ozone Hotel, Executive Rooms (Standard) or Aurora Ozone Hotel, Executive Seaview Rooms (Superior), Kangaroo Island    Day 4: Kangaroo Island – AdelaideStart your day with a delicious, cooked breakfast before heading off on day 4 of your tour. Today your local guide will introduce you to some of the island’s leading creators where you will see an “In-Flight” display of raptors and taste some local Kangaroo Island produce.Your first stop will be the fascinating Free Flight Birds of Prey Presentation at Raptor Domain for an educational, interactive, and inspiring experience. The only “Free-Flight” Birds of Prey presentation in South Australia, it is thought by many to be the most interactive Birds of Prey presentation in Australia.Next, travel to Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery for a delicious lunch followed by an introductory talk about the history of the oil distillery and take a guided tour. You may choose to taste Kangaroo Island Ciders’ range of Colony Cove products including Apple Sparkler and Cider (additional cost). Finish off with some free time in their souvenir shop where you will find an assortment of Eucalyptus products. Your next stop is Clifford’s Honey Farm, where you’ll enjoy an informative guided tour of the honey room where you will learn about the extraction process, taste a honey soft drink and have the option to sample the Drunken Drone Brewery’s Honey Wheat Ale. In the farm gate shop, you can see a working beehive where you can try to spot the Queen bee. There are different varieties of pure Kangaroo Island Ligurian honey and beauty products to purchase as well as their famous honey ice-cream.Continue to Pennington Bay, a spectacular beach on the south coast of Kangaroo Island for a photo opportunity before arriving at your final stop False Cape Wines Cellar Door. This stunning new cellar door is made from recycled wood, jetty timbers and limestone sourced on the property. Here you can take part in a structured wine tasting while enjoying the peaceful views of the surrounding vineyards.Your Kangaroo Island journey ends at the Penneshaw Hotel where you have ample time to have dinner (own expense) before returning to the Penneshaw Ferry Terminal for your ferry and coach transfer back to Adelaide.Hotel: Chifley on South Terrace (Standard), Stamford Plaza Adelaide (Superior) or The Terrace Hotel (Standard), Adelaide    Day 5: Depart AdelaideYour short break concludes this morning after breakfast.
