Villa

Nestled in our lush, tropical gardens, these luxurious villas were converted from authentic Northern Thai rice barns, which were imported complete from the countryside. While exteriors maintain their unique Lanna style, interiors enjoy a spacious, modern design with accommodation spread over two floors. The décor of the ground-floor living space incorporates traditional rustic elements such as bamboo, silk and hill tribe textiles. Upstairs, accommodation features crafted wooden beams and sliding shutters as well as a peanut-shaped spa bath in the inviting bathroom. An outdoor terrace off the king bedroom is furnished with a small table and sun-loungers. Several villas are clustered around a private cottage garden through which a small brook flows.

Deluxe Villas

Options: King or Twin Beds, With or Without Outdoor Jacuzzi Deluxe Villa (King or Twin Beds, Without Outdoor Jacuzzi): Spread over two floors, these spacious teak wood villas offer the perfect blend of indoor and outdoor living. Overlooking our lush gardens or a beautiful paddy field, ground floor accommodation includes a spacious living and dining room, powder room and an outdoor terrace with an adjoining massage area. Enjoying the feel of a luxurious private home, accommodation is spread over two levels and furnished with a selection of antiques and modern pieces including a piano. Overlooking the garden or the tranquil paddy fields, each villa has its own private Jacuzzi situated on an outdoor deck. Downstairs, the large open-plan space incorporates a living room and dining room with seating for up to four guests. There is also a small kitchen and powder room. Colonial Suites

Enjoying a colonial-style décor, these elegant suites are situated close to the main lobby and Akaligo restaurant. Surrounded by the lush greenery of the resort, all suites boast floor-to-ceiling terrace doors opening out onto spacious balconies overlooking the pool, lake or our lush gardens. Each suite has a bedroom and separate living room featuring beautifully tiled floors, glass chandeliers, ceiling fans and Victorian desk lamps. Adjoining bathrooms provide ample space and comfort with whirlpool baths, walk-in showers and twin vanity units.

Deluxe Colonial Suite

Entered via a wide entrance hall leading into a spacious sitting room, these spacious suites have been designed in a refined colonial style. Low white panelling is matched with ochre walls, giving a fresh and elegant ambience typical of the era. Drawing on the architectural grandeur of 19th century Asia, each suite has a bedroom and adjoining living room all with high ceilings, sumptuous silk furnishings and antiques. Generously proportioned bathrooms are fitted with whirlpool bathtubs, rain showers, walk-in closets and dressing areas. In addition, guests can enjoy the luxury of a large private terrace with views overlooking the gardens. 

Grand Deluxe Colonial Suite

Options: King or Twin Bedroom Grand Deluxe Colonial Suite (3 persons capacity): These sumptuous suites enjoy a stately grandeur reflecting the elegant style of the colonial era. With dark wood floors and furnishings, the bedroom provides a cool, calm retreat, while richly patterned rugs, a sofa, and armchairs fill the beautifully decorated living area. Grand Deluxe 2 Bedroom Colonial Suite (5 persons capacity): The ideal choice for families or groups of friends, these exquisite two-level suites combine colonial style with touches of Chinese design. Entered via a black and white marble entrance hall, the stately living room has a selection of exquisite furnishings including an ornately carved Chinese daybed. Lying adjacent to this is a large bedroom with twin beds and spacious ensuite bathroom complete with black marble sunken bath, shower and twin vanity unit. Accessed via stairs or its own private lift, the master bedroom is huge with a vast ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet. Most impressively, the bedroom opens out onto a wraparound balcony offering 180 degree views of the resort. Penthouse Residence

This palatial residence offers some of the resort’s most lavish accommodation. Situated on the third floor of the Dheva Spa Residence, décor exudes an air of colonial elegance with five-metre high ceilings, polished teakwood floors covered with Persian carpets and beautiful furnishings including a grand piano. Accessed via a private lift, accommodation includes a luxuriously appointed drawing room, dining room for up to six guests, pantry and bedroom as well as an enormous walk-in closet and private spa facilities. Unique design details such as stained-glass windows and teakwood carvings capture the essence of British colonial architecture while the suite’s peacock-patterned glass mosaics were inspired by the sumptuousness of India’s Maharajas palaces. To complete the picture, a spacious outdoor terrace affords panoramic views over the resort.

Deluxe Residence with Pool

Royal Residence

Our most exclusive residence offers the ultimate in luxury and privacy. Situated behind high walls, this magnificent complex features six private Lanna-style pavilions with three king-sized beds and three twin bedrooms as well as numerous sitting and dining rooms, open-air salas, and a private lounge with grand piano and bar. Connected by walkways, each pavilion is unique in design, inspired by a mix of northern Thai and Royal Lanna architecture. All feature high ceilings, handcrafted details, sumptuous silks, plush furnishings and a selection of rare antiques. Colour schemes vary from one pavilion to the next, ranging from rich red and gold to cream, pink, and silver. In addition to its individual sleeping pavilions, the Royal Residence boasts three luxurious swimming pools, private Jacuzzis and saunas, all set right on the edge of the compound’s own free-form lotus pond and surrounded by towering rain trees, fragrant frangipanis and a wall of life-sized elephant sculptures drawn from Chiang Mai’s oldest temple, Wat Chiang Man.

The finest French cuisine served with inimitable style One of the most acclaimed French restaurants in Thailand, Farang Ses specialises in delicious modern French cuisine accompanied by wonderful views and a beautiful décor. Located in a magnificent Lanna style building overlooking paddy fields and tall coconut palms, the restaurant’s vaulted wooden interior features elegantly sculpted chandeliers and enormous teak pillars clad in sheets of beaten copper relief. Serving some of the finest French cuisine in Thailand, the menu features a choice of quintessentially French delicacies presented in the most beautiful manner.

Fujian

Authentic Chinese cuisine served in a stunning 1930s-style setting Named after the prosperous Chinese province famed for black tea, Fujian specialises in authentic Cantonese and contemporary Chinese cuisine. Overlooking the Kad Dhara shopping village, the restaurant is housed in a stunning two-storey mansion and decorated with rare pieces from our art and antiques collection. Under the watchful eye of Chef Yim Man Wai, Fujian is renowned for its delicious dim sum lunches, served every day in traditional bamboo steamers. During the evening, the menu offers dishes representing a variety of Chinese regional cooking styles including classic Cantonese and spicy Sichuan. In keeping with the Chinese ‘family style’ meal, portions are intended to share. A Degustation Supper Menu offers miniature portions of the menu’s signature dishes. Our beverage choices are extensive, and include wines from a cellar containing over 80 different labels as well as a ‘tea tasting’ that sources from among the best teas in our considerable collection. We also have three private dining rooms that seat up to 50 guests.

Le Grand Lanna

A taste of the good life. Experience the feel of dining in a Lanna nobleman’s home at Le Grand Lanna, serving both classic Thai dishes and northern Lanna cuisine. An interesting variation on Thai cooking, Lanna food focuses mainly on vegetables and complements our traditional Thai plates perfectly. Inhabiting a series of low wooden buildings, Le Grand Lanna offers a host of dining areas set along raised wooden platforms. Guests can dine outside on a terrace that overlooks a delightful tropical garden, or inside in salons decorated with art and antiques from around the region. Every evening, members of our cultural team give an hour performance of music and traditional dance at the restaurant. We have three private dining rooms available for up to 30 guests.

Breakfast, brunch and beautiful surroundings Named in Sanskrit, Akaligo means timeless, the sensation we would like to impart to our guests. Enjoying a light and airy feel with large windows overlooking our landscaped gardens, Akaligo is open every day for a breakfast buffet and on Sundays for our Jazz Brunch. Horn Bar

A cool atmosphere for evening drinks. With a stunning design and a relaxed atmosphere, Horn Bar is the place to go once night falls. Serving an enticing mix of cocktails, spirits, beers and fine wines, the bar lies just off our main lobby. Named after its unique horned mask collection, the bar’s walls display masks from the many different regions of Myanmar. Depicting a multitude of mythological characters, such masks are frequently used in certain traditional Thai dances. Atmospherically lit, the bar takes centre stage in the middle of the room surrounded by a choice of comfy leather sofas and high backed chairs. With cool club sounds, stylish seating and excellent mixologists, it’s the perfect spot for a pre or post-dinner drink.

An inviting poolside retreat. Serving light snacks and beverages, Loy Kham Bar enjoys a wonderfully relaxed setting next to our dazzling infinity pool. Only steps away from our Villas and Residences, the bar is spread over two floors in its own beautiful wooden building. Here guests can enjoy indoor or alfresco dining whilst enjoying stunning views of the lush green rice paddies surrounding our resort. A sweet treat. Located in the Kad Dhara shopping village, The Oriental Shop is a pretty one-storey Victorian-style Tea House framed by lush green palms. Enjoying a pretty colonial-style décor with white walls and wicker chairs, the menu includes delicious sandwiches and salads, as well as delicious homemade specialities such as chocolate and coffee flavoured pastries, melt-in-your-mouth macaroons and crunchy chocolate mousse cakes. From cooking to culture, shopping to sport, we have a host of ways to keep you entertained. ORIENTAL CULINARY ACADEMY Our Oriental Culinary Academy hosts lessons for up to 20 students. Classes take place every day but Sunday and include informative trips to the local market and preparation of a four course meal. BAN SAM LANG Consisting of three traditional northern Thai style houses, Ban Sam Lang is our Arts and Crafts Village. Here we offer a variety of traditional demonstrations, lectures and classes in flower arranging, dance and music. In addition, guests can participate in daily rituals, such as the offering of rice to Buddhist monks on their morning alms rounds. SWIMMING Our two swimming pools are relaxing spaces to enjoy a gentle dip or do laps. With views stretching over languid green paddy fields, the Loy Kham infinity pool is shaded in part by the boughs of a rain tree. The large, blue-tiled Colonial Pool recreates the elegance of the 1920's Riviera and boasts both space for laps and a shallow pool for children. Both pools have bars serving light snacks, juices and cocktails. TENNIS We have two astrograss floodlit tennis courts as well as rackets and balls for hire. Our professional coach is available for lessons. SHOPPING The resort's shopping village, Kad Dhara, has over 20 shops including jewellers, a tailor and artisans offering high quality craft and art for sale. CULTURAL PROGRAMS As well as complimentary guided walking tours of the resort, we also offer nightly music and dance performances in Le Grand Lanna restaurant. Private in-villa music and dance performances are also available. JUM SRI HALL LIBRARY The Jun Sri Hall Library has over 5,000 books, DVDs and CDs available to borrow on a complimentary basis.

With a breathtaking design, incredible treatments and a dedicated Ayurvedic centre, our spa is truly outstanding Named after celestial beings, our Dheva spa features a 3,100 square metre holistic spa and Ayurvedic centre. Based on the design of an ancient Mandalay palace, the breathtaking golden teakwood architecture features a stunning seven-tiered roof designed to represent the seven steps to nirvana and the attainment of spiritual and physical perfection. Every inch of the spa is embellished with ornate moldings and sculptures depicting scared animals or symbolic Buddhist motifs, loyally recreated by 150 local artisans from the original Burmese template in Mandalay, Myanmar. On arrival you will have a private consultation with one of our health specialists or therapists, who come highly trained from our on-site Academy. Following this, you will be shown to your personal treatment suite where your spa journey will begin. We recommend you arrive 45 minutes prior to your appointment to allow for your consultation and to experience our luxurious heat and water facilities, loosening limbs and preparing your body for therapy.
