Overview

A short ferry ride from Pier 33 at Fisherman’s Wharf, you will have the opportunity to talk with National Park Service Rangers about the island’s history, watch a short slide show and take the 1-hour audio walking tour of the cellblock. Total estimated time for Alcatraz Tour is 2 - 3 hours. Learn the incredible history of the island and about its most infamous inmates such as the “Birdman” Robert Stroud or Al “Scarface” Capone.
