Our resident chef prepares unpretentious food with enthusiasm and flair. Four-course dinners start with delicious soups and homemade bread, followed by traditional dishes such as venison and ostrich often cooked safari style over coals. Our experienced staff will treat you to a South African “braaivleis” in the tranquil setting of an African bush boma.
Recreation
A game drive through Amakhala Game Reserve will leave you mesmerised by the diverse vegetation and spectacular scenery which abounds here. Sunlit grassy savannah plains, a mosaic of Valley Bushveld plants, the gently dappled light of the sand forest, the many watering holes and the wide spellbinding Bushmans River. This is home to great African mammals, birds and insects. As a Safari Lodge guest you can be treated to an enchanting river cruise along the meandering Bushmans River where you can spot many of the magnificent bird species.
