Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth is excited to unveil its upcoming renovation project, a transformation into a contemporary lifestyle space with a mix of 1960’s classic style, complete with modern technologies and amenities. This $140 million investment by Ivanhoé Cambridge will commence in June 2016. To execute the renovations, the hotel will be closed for 12 months starting mid-June 2016. The hotel will reopen in June 2017. All the common areas and about 500 guest rooms will be ready in time for the celebrations marking the 375th anniversary of Montreal and the 150th anniversary of the Canadian Confederation. The rest of the rooms will be completed by December 2017. The hotel will offer additional suites; expanded Fairmont Gold rooms and lounge; an inspiring new business hub and meeting space; a signature bar, restaurant and market kitchen; a wellness centre and indoor pool; an outdoor terrace; and a vibrant lobby event space. We can’t wait to share it with you!

Junior Suite
Located throughout the hotel, these elegant suites consist of a Fairmont guestroom with a full bathroom, separated by pocket doors into a cozy sitting area with a sofabed and powder room. These suites can accommodate up to four people and are ideal for long stays.
One Bedroom Suite
Located at the end of each hallway, these elegantly furnished and spacious suites provide a peaceful environment. They consist of one Fairmont guestroom with full bathroom connecting to a living room area with a powder room. They can accommodate up to four people.
Two Bedroom Suite
These spacious corner luxury hotel suites, decorated with contemporary flair, consist of two Fairmont guestrooms connecting to a large living room area. Each suite has a private entrance from the hallway and features three full bathrooms. These elegant suites can accommodate up to six people.
Executive Suite
Located on the upper floors of the hotel, our Executive suites offer spectacular views. These suites are elegantly appointed with either one or two bedrooms and a spacious living room area. Some have a kitchenette and a dining room which can seat up to eight people and can accommodate up to four people.
John Lennon and Yoko Ono Suite
This one-bedroom Executive suite was the site of the legendary 1969 "Bed-in for Peace", where the song "Give Peace a Chance" was composed and recorded. The living room and bedroom feature memorabilia composed of press articles, framed gold records and pictures of the famous couple. This legendary hotel suite can accommodate up to two people.
Mont-Royal Suite
Located on the top floor of the hotel, this upscale, penthouse-style apartment features elegant and modern accommodations including a spacious 520 sq. ft. living room with a fireplace and a bedroom featuring a deluxe, marble bathroom equipped with a jetted tub and a separate shower. This distinctive hotel suite also includes an intimate area perfect for dining or meeting, and a powder room. The Mont-Royal Suite can accommodate up to two people and upon request, a connecting guestroom is available.
